landis rossi - vision councils chair
Landis Rossi is the Executive Director of Catholic Charities of Idaho. Landis has been involved with the United Way of Treasure Valley for five years as a volunteer on the community investment teams, Impact Council and now as Chair of the Vision Councils and Board Member. Previously Landis served three years as Regional Director and as Program Manager for Service Integration at Idaho Department of Health & Welfare. Before that, she served as an Assistant Vice-President at Easter Seals-Goodwill. Throughout her career, Landis has been involved with numerous community and not-for-profit organizations, with a focus on poor and low income families in Idaho as well as child welfare issues. Landis has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Boise State University. 

 
Roger Quarles - Education Vision Council Chair

Roger Quarles is an Assistant Professor at Boise State University in Education Leadership. The Education Leadership program at Boise State prepares candidates for certification to become school principals.

Prior to moving to BSU in 2011, Roger served as the superintendent of the Caldwell School District from 2005 to 2011. The Caldwell School District is the ninth largest district in Idaho and serves about 6,300 students and more than 800 staff members. He began his professional career in education in 1996 as a secondary teacher in Idaho’s Blaine Country School District. He was the director of the Blaine County Academy of Arts and Sciences from 1996 to 2000 before he accepted the high school principal position in the Kuna School District where he served until his move to Caldwell. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University Chico, and Masters of Education and Education Specialists degrees from the University of Idaho. He earned his Ph.D. Educational Leadership through the University of Idaho. Roger Quarles believes that every child can learn if a district provides a quality environment and great teachers. Roger serves on several boards throughout the Treasure Valley and enjoys tennis, golf and the beautiful outdoors in Idaho.

 
Corey Surber - Health Vision Council Chair
Corey Surber currently serves as Director of Advocacy & Community Benefit for Saint Alphonsus Health System, and has been with Saint Alphonsus for the past 18 years. Corey is also an adjunct professor in the College of Health Science at Boise State University, teaching graduate and undergraduate courses dealing with health policy and health delivery systems. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from College of Idaho, and a Master of Health Science degree from Boise State University.
Community involvement is a key component of Corey's work, and a high priority in her personal life as well. Corey is a graduate of Leadership Boise, and serves on the boards of United Way of Treasure Valley, Boys & Girls Clubs of Ada County and Idaho Voices for Children. She has been appointed by Governor Otter to a second term serving on the Idaho Suicide Prevention Council, and was appointed by Mayor Dave Bieter to serve on the Boise City Housing and Community Development Citizens Advisory Committee. Corey is also chair of the Idaho Association of Commerce & Industry General Business Committee.

 
 
Alberto Gonzales - Financial Independence Vision Council Chair
 Alberto Gonzalez, Financial Independence Vision Chair, is the new Bureau Chief for Compliance and Support within Idaho's Division of Welfare. He oversees Quality Assurance (compliance) of the Federally Funded Division of Welfare programs. He's also responsible for Division Communication, Contract Monitoring, Fair Hearings and Appeals, Partners, and has the Idaho Child Care Program residing in the Bureau. Prior to this position. Alberto was the Program Manager for Medicaid and the Idaho Child Care Program. He focused on State and Federal policy affecting eligibility into Medicaid as well as eligibility for the Idaho Child Care Subsidy. He's excited with all of the work the department has done related to service delivery and automation to ensure Idahoans needing services are able to do so in a reasonable period of time. This is despite record demands on the Department due to the economy. Alberto was also the Program Supervisor for 2-1-1 Idaho CareLine, where he partnered with community, faith based, and government agencies that provide health and human services for free and reduced costs to the citizens of Idaho.
 
Alberto lives in Eagle, Idaho with his wife and two boys. He dedicates his free time to coaching his boy's football teams or is out on the golf course.
