United Way of Treasure Valley
Funding Transition to Community Impact
Over the last several years, United Way of Treasure Valley has gradually shifted from a fundraising organization to a community change organization, which we refer to as a Community Impact Model. True community impact goes far beyond fundraising; it means improving lives by mobilizing the community to create sustained change in community conditions. As an Impact United Way, we can identify and address root causes of needs through mobilization of resources (funding, volunteers, relationships, social influence) and collaboration with our partners, for real change, not charity.
We have implemented a four-phase Community Impact Plan; Research, Prioritize, Collaborate and Innovate, which will be the roadmap for our work in the coming years.
Using the Community Impact Plan as our guide, we will be implementing a funding transition over the next two years. United Way will prioritize collaborative partnerships designed to have community impact that can be measured through common goals. We will have a refined focus and plan to commit our attention to solutions for multiple years.

When is the next opportunity to apply for funds with UWTV?
