In March 2016, United Way of Treasure Valley, in partnership with Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise, was awaraded a $1.5 million Transforming Communities Initiative grant from Trinity Health. Goals for the TCI grant include the reduction of tobacco use and obesity – two leading drivers of preventable chronic diseases and high health care costs in Idaho and across the United States.
