Children's Book Drive 2026
61% of families facing financial instability don’t have books at home for their children, limiting early literacy and long-term opportunity. Led by United Way of Treasure Valley and Book it Forward! Idaho, the Children’s Book Drive mobilizes businesses, volunteers, and community partners to place books directly into the hands of local children—where they are, when they need them most.
Now in its 11th year, this trusted community effort reaches children across early learning centers, community schools, family resource hubs, and juvenile detention centers. As a corporate sponsor, your investment helps ensure children across our region can begin building personal libraries—and futures filled with possibility.
Get Involved
From March 2 – April 9, we’re collecting new and gently loved children’s books to help put stories into the hands of kids across the Treasure Valley. Every book donated helps spark imagination, build literacy skills, and open doors for a child’s future.
Thanks to community partners like CapEd Credit Union and D.L. Evans Bank, there are plenty of convenient drop-off options. You can donate at any location listed below—including all CapEd and D.L. Evans branches.
