The 12th Annual Flapjack Feed; our biggest one yet!

WHEW! Another Flapjack Feed in the books! We are THRILLED to report that this was the most successful and well attended Flapjack Feed EVER! Attendance was up 18% since last year and donations were up almost 30%! Our final number of breakfasts served was 1,532; more than we anticipated. Luckily, we always anticipate that we'll need more food than we think and prepare extra to be on the safe side. And the great news is that all that extra food gets sent out to various shelters around town so that nothing goes to waste.

The Flapjack Feed is not only a favorite event of ours, but of the entire community's. You might actually say it's a symbolic event. It's symbolic of the start of our fundraising season, and it's symbolic of the togetherness United Way of Treasure Valley brings to fruition year after year in so many ways. We fight for the health, education, and financial stability of every person in every community...but it takes a community to come together to actually make that happen. So when you look around at an event like our Flapjack Feed, what you have to realize is that it's more than a Flapjack Feed. It's a place to gather, to connect, to bring awareness, to have conversations, to brainstorm, to talk, and to plan. It's a place for unlikely connections to be made, for ideas to be born, and for support to be given.

It's a place where community becomes COMMUNITY. Thank you for joining us! We can't wait to see you next year! For a complete photo album, click here
