Meet Crystal Jensen, Women United Membership Co-Chair!

CrystalWhat brought you to United Way?
I have close friends that have been involved with United Way of Treasure Valley for a number of years. The people of United Way and the causes they support kept me coming back.

How long and in what capacity have you been involved?
I believe my first event was a United Way book drive and book sorting event five years ago. From that point, I jumped into any Holiday Helper, Mix and Mingle, and special pop-up project UWTV needed volunteer support on. I was thrilled to join the Women United Executive Committee last year, and currently serve as Membership Committee Co-Chair.
What are you most passionate about when it comes to the work United Way does?
The hygiene kit distribution and basic needs pantry is very special. These initiatives make such a huge and far reaching impact, simultaneously reminding us of the essential items we can so easily take for granted.
Tell us more about you! Family, hobbies, interests, etc.
I have one very special 17 year old daughter, a wickedly talented and handsome husband, two Labradors, and a Maltipoo. In our free time we spend as much time as possible outdoors; hiking, backpacking, camping, playing in the water, skiing, and spending time with treasured friends and family.
