Meet Katie Marshall, Donor Engagement Coordinator!

Katie MarshallHow long have you been with UWTV?

I joined the team in June 2023. Previously, I taught Elementary and Middle School in the Boise and West Ada School Districts.  I am excited to have the opportunity to use my education experience to further the mission of United Way of Treasure Valley!

What are you most passionate about when it comes to the work of UWTV?

I'm passionate about the work we do for every member of our community, but particularly the programs that impact children. As a former educator, I think kids are our future and I want to make sure Idaho's children have every opportunity to succeed. I've seen firsthand the impact that our Community Schools have on children and families, and it's incredible. The Treasure Valley is such a great community, and I want to do what I can to make sure that the next generation has everything they need to continue to grow.

Tell us more about you! Family, hobbies, and interests.

I was born and raised in the Treasure Valley, and I love it here. I'm a Boise State alum and I still enjoy the occasional football game on the blue!

My husband and I live in Meridian with our dog, Stan, and the three of us like to enjoy the nice weather by camping, walking, and gardening. When I'm not outside, I spend time cooking and baking. My latest project is developing the perfect loaf of homemade sourdough bread. I also love to read- I finish about 200 books a year! I serve on the Meridian Library Foundation Board of Directors as well, so I can help others experience the joy of reading.
