Every single dollar of your donation to the Community Fund stays right here in the Treasure Valley and is immediately put to work improving the lives of local people in need. Every program that benefits from the Community Fund must demonstrate measurable results and good financial management.

Payroll deduction is another popular way to contribute. You decide a set amount to be taken out of your paycheck every pay period.

Do United Way organizations differ from one community to the next?

Yes! United Ways are built to address the biggest local challenges and create lasting change. There are approximately 1,400 United Ways across the country. They exist in their respective communities to build partnerships and leverage resources to help drive long-lasting community change. Each individual entity is independently incorporated, led by local staff and volunteers, and sets its priorities in response to local community needs.

When you donate to United Way of Treasure Valley's Community Fund, 100% of your donation stays right here in the Treasure Valley. Donating to the Community Fund is the best way to make lasting change for local individuals and families.

What if I don’t want my money to go to a certain agency?

Not every nonprofit organization appeals to every donor, but all agencies have met the meticulous standards of United Way of Treasure Valley. However, you can choose to designate donations to any nonprofit agency that fits your needs.

What is your relationship to the National Football League?

United Way of Treasure Valley is not affiliated with the NFL. However, on a national level, for more than 35 years the NFL has worked with United Way to strengthen America’s communities.

What is United Way of Treasure Valley’s Donor Privacy Policy?

United Way of Treasure Valley will not sell, share or trade our donors’ names or personal information with any other entity, nor send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations.
