Role Summary: In support of the Idaho Coalition for Community Schools (the Coalition) you will be an integral part of the United Way Community Impact team, assisting in guiding efforts to develop and expand the Community School Strategy across Idaho. This pivotal role involves utilizing data to support various stakeholders to monitor and enhance the effectiveness of community schools, ensuring their growth and impact throughout the state. The Data and Evaluation Coordinator will support the Coalition in having the proper tools to make data accessible and actionable.

Exciting Developments for the Coalition: United Way of Treasure Valley has received a $46 million Full Service Community Schools grant from the U.S. Department of Education (ED) to expand the Community School Strategy across rural Idaho over the next 5 years (2024-2028), building upon the existing network of 41 schools in 25 districts. This role will be integral to ensuring quality implementation and continuous improvement to support the successful expansion across the state. Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluation and Improvement:
Guide research of best practices in implementation of Community School Strategy and support strategy team in advancing quality implementation.
Review community and statewide data to support and guide scaling and expansion efforts.
Work collaboratively with third-party evaluator to develop action plans to address findings to support both implementation and outcome evaluation, and support participation in the national evaluation effort with ED.

•Technical Assistance:
Train schools and agency partners on procedures for data collection and monitoring to ensure grant compliance.
Support and provide technical assistance for using data for continuous improvement among school and agency partners.
Assist schools and local stakeholder councils in developing and implementing annual assets and needs assessments. 

•Stakeholder Engagement:
Assist in advancement of Community School Strategy statewide by aiding the Coalition in using data to articulate need and impact.
Prepare visualizations, reports and presentations to report data and evaluation findings to stakeholders.
Support facilitation of Coalition data and evaluation workgroups and committees.

•Coordination and Reporting:
Manage collection, cleaning, and accessibility of data from multiple data sources (quantitative and qualitative) among various project partners.
Monitor program-level performance measures and community-level indicators aligned to grant-reporting requirements and maintain accurate and organized compliance data with supporting documentation.
Support submission of required grant reports to ED.

•Additional Responsibilities:
Provide support to other departments and core functions of UWTV, including operations, marketing/public relations, and resource development, to advance our mission.

Knowledge and Skills:

•Understanding of Community School Strategy.
•Familiarity with Results Based Accountability and other evaluative methods for process improvement.

Education and Experience:

Key Responsibilities:

•Finance Management
Oversee financial management of federal Full Service Community School grant, ensuring alignment of financial resources for effective implementation.
Manage an annual ~$9M grant budget, including oversight of MOUs, sub-recipient and contractor budgets, and compliance monitoring.
Monitor partner expenditures, project goals, and reporting to maintain alignment with grant scope and financial guidelines.
Support creation of annual grant budgets.
Develop financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Prepare and execute invoicing and payment management among contracted partners.
Oversee fund management in the Grant Administration and Payment System.

•Grant Compliance
Develop and modify grant management policies and procedures in accordance with grant regulations and organization needs.
Prepare and oversee funding contracts with schools, service providers, and partners in accordance with federal and agency compliance.
Monitor contracted partner compliance with grant agreements to ensure proper spending and fund management.
Prepare and file all necessary financial reports and updates required by ED, including participation in audits as needed.
Maintain all required financial documentation and records according to grant and agency practices.

•Additional Responsibilities:
Assist in agency’s annual audit and completion of federal Single Audit in accordance with Federal award requirements.
Provide support to other departments and core functions of UWTV, including operations, marketing/public relations, and resource development, to advance our mission.

Goal: As the Events Coordinator, you will have the unique opportunity to secure philanthropic support to advance United Way’s mission. Primarily focused on events and volunteerism, you will be responsible for developing and cultivating relationships with public and private organizations, foundations, and individuals for philanthropic support of our mission. In cooperation with the development team, you will design and implement events and volunteer engagement strategies to engage current and potential donors helping communicate the positive impact of United Way and our partners to donor groups as well as the broader community.

You will manage and oversee our year-round community drives (i.e. Children’s Book Drive and Holiday Helper), volunteer initiatives, and community awareness and advocacy events, leveraging existing relationships to secure additional gifts and expand corporate support.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Event Management:

  • Create and implement systems, including registration and stewardship, for engaging corporate partners, donors, and community stakeholders in events/experiences.
  • Oversee and coordinate all marketing and promotion for year around events, working with the marketing manager and outside contractors to implement impactful donor centric strategies.
  • Recruit and utilize volunteers to successfully host “Year of Action” event.
  • Event planning and oversight for “Year of Action” drives and events

  • Report key metrics following all “Year of Action” drives and events

  • Process and manage in-kind donations received during community drives

  • Secure sponsorships to fund “Year of Action” Event
  • Coordinate curated and custom volunteer projects and tour requests for United Way corporate partners.

2.  Corporate & Community Engagement:

  • Identify, cultivate, and engage corporate prospects and donors.

  • Manage the “Year of Action” Calendar, which includes community drives, volunteer initiatives, and community awareness and advocacy events as a strategy to deepen corporate relationships in the community.

  • Connect with United Way community partners and internal programs to design and match strategic volunteer projects for UWTV’s corporate partners

  • Work collaboratively with program staff to design and match strategic volunteer projects for United Way’s donors, affinity groups and community stakeholders.

Role Summary:
United Way of Treasure Valley is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director to spearhead our organization's Communications and Marketing endeavors in ways that advance our mission – helping to advance the work of our key initiatives and sharing our impact with diverse audiences. Responsibilities - Operational Efficiency and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets, community partners, donors, and volunteers to maximize visibility and support for United Way of Treasure Valley's mission, vision, and initiatives.
  • Develop and implement an internal communications strategy to enhance organization-wide cohesion, optimize workflows, and streamline communication across various channels (email, chat, face-to-face meetings, and project management software).
  • Serve as a communications expert across all agency departments, assisting them in crafting clear, aligned, and professional messaging tailored to their specific audience and objectives.
  • Support production of specialized communications materials for various internal and external stakeholder groups, including grantees, volunteers, partner schools, United Ways across the state, and funders.

  • Oversee recruitment communications, ensuring they are compelling, reach a wide audience, and reflect the organization's values and needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in content marketing, communications, or related roles with at least 2 years in a leadership or management position.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful content marketing and communication strategies, both internally and externally.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences and platforms.
  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities with experience managing and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Goal: In this Donor Engagement Coordinator (DEC) role, you will support the Donor Engagement manager in securing philanthropic support to advance United Way’s mission in the Treasure Valley. 

There are two primary responsibilities: managing and growing existing business and individual donor relationships AND cultivating new business development in the Treasure Valley. The Donor Engagement Coordinator plays a pivotal role in advancing the organization's mission through strategic donor engagement, campaign management, and community outreach. 

Workplace Company Campaign & Donor Development (50%):

  • Manage designated workplace campaign accounts, ensuring they meet or exceed revenue objectives.
  • Recruit, train, and support Employee Campaign Coordinators to execute successful employee giving campaigns.
  • Collaborate with company leadership and Employee Campaign Coordinators to devise strategies for campaign growth and donor engagement.
  • Identify and seize donor expansion opportunities within assigned accounts, tailoring approaches for individual or group donors.
  • Supervise campaign logistics, including supply distribution, donation collection, and financial reporting in tandem with the finance department.

Role Summary:  In support of our findhelpidaho.org initiative you will be an integral part of the United Way Community Resources team, assisting in facilitating connections between services and systems to enhance the well-being of Idahoans. 

Our Community Resources Connector will have a growth mindset and will use community level data to increase outreach and accessibility of findhelpidaho.org. The individual selected for this role must possess skills in building trusted relationships, demonstrate active listening, and use data to discover opportunities for better collaboration and connectedness. 

Key Responsibilities: 
- Database Management: 

  • Ensure programs on findhelpidaho.org are listed, up-to-date and meet accuracy and inclusion standards. 
  • Assist in creation of data reports and analysis to measure outcomes and identify gaps in service.   

- Community Engagement and Support: 

  • Provide outreach, training, and support for Community Based Organizations and Community Schools d  uring implementation and ongoing use of findhelpidaho.org. 
  • Work closely with Community School Coordinators and the Idaho Coalition for Community Schools team to create better resource and referral systems for students and families through findhelpidaho.org. 
  • Work closely with the Idaho Coalition for Community Schools team to ensure grant outcomes around access to care are achieved. 

Additional Responsibilities: 

  • Contribute to collaborative efforts by participating in internal/external meetings, special projects, events, and expansion opportunities, as needed.  
  • Work closely with other departments and core functions of UWTV to advance our mission. 

Knowledge and Skills: 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with community-based organizations, community schools, and other stakeholders. 
  • Ability to navigate and maintain online platforms, databases, and internal tracking systems. 
  • Experienced in utilizing community-level data to inform outreach strategies, recognize collaboration opportunities, and identify trends. 
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office suite, Zoom, and Google Drive; adept at leveraging AI platforms for enhanced productivity.

Education and Experience:
