Jaime is the executive director of Family Advocates, a nonprofit organization that provides education and support for expectant mothers and parents, and helps foster children caught in the legal system. She has made a career helping others, and first joined United Way as a supporter in 2008.
“United Way of Treasure Valley not only brings dollars, but visibility, in-kind, and a volunteer spirit that is critical to Family Advocates and the children and families we serve,” Jaime said.
Riley specializes in development and donor relations at Terry Reilly Health Services. United Way of Treasure Valley is proud to partner with Terry Reilly Health Services and provide crucial medical services to those in need.
Riley has been involved with United Way for more than 10 years.

“Because of United Way’s generosity we are able to provide medical, dental, mental health and non-medical resources through our Community Connectors Services,” said Cindy, the director of development at Genesis Community Health.
Ed loves to read to his grandchildren. Whether he’s visiting them or vice versa, he always looks forward to the excitement of his grandkids when they select a book for grandpa to read.
“I read them the words and we play games searching for items on each page,” Ed said.
When Ed found out only one in 300 children in low-income households have books, he was saddened.
“It really tugged on my grandpa heart,” he said. “Every kid needs books to call their own.
BOISE, Idaho —United Way of Treasure Valley will host its third annual Children’s Book Drive, seeking to collect thousands of new and gently used books and distribute them to children throughout the valley.
BOISE, Idaho — Workers across Idaho may get a larger tax refund this year because of the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). But to get it, workers must file a tax return and claim it.
Friday, Jan. 27, marks the 11th anniversary of EITC Awareness Day, a nationwide effort to increase awareness about the EITC and free tax preparation sites. This year, the Internal Revenue Service is promoting the EITC and providing information on other refundable tax credits, including the American Opportunity Tax Credit, the Child Tax Credit and the Additional Child Tax Credit.
